Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas/Plano-East
Rated 9.9 with a saltwater pool and streaming
Plano, Plano
About this stay
This Hampton Inn earns a remarkable 9.9 rating across 290 reviews, among the very highest anywhere in Plano's hotel inventory, with guests consistently praising the saltwater pool, room comfort and attentive staff. Streaming services in every room let guests log into their own accounts rather than relying on generic hotel TV, a small but genuinely appreciated detail on a longer stay. The barbecue areas and outdoor seating give a reason to eat outside, and the continental buffet breakfast rounds out mornings with fresh pastries and fruit. At 5 km from Historic Downtown Plano, a weekend antique-shopping trip stays realistic without a long drive (free parking sits right at the entrance for every guest).

Our take
A 9.9 rating is exceptional even by Plano's generally strong standards, and the saltwater pool paired with in-room streaming explains the loyalty. This suits families and longer-stay guests especially well. Business travelers prioritizing Legacy West should compare the 5 km distance here against properties closer to the Tollway corridor instead.
- Log into your own streaming accounts on arrival, a genuinely appreciated detail compared to generic hotel TV elsewhere in the corridor.
- Use the saltwater pool over a chlorine alternative if sensitive skin or eyes are a concern for anyone traveling.
- Book early given the exceptional 9.9 rating, this property likely sees strong demand from repeat and word-of-mouth guests.

Why guests love itA saltwater pool, barbecue areas and family rooms with sofa beds make Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas/Plano-East one of the more family-minded chain hotels in Plano, in my view. Rooms include streaming services, handy for a quiet evening in, and there is a fitness centre. Historic Downtown Plano is 5 km away and the Art Centre of Plano is nearby. A 9.3 score from 290 reviews backs it up, and pets are accepted.
