TownePlace Suites Lubbock
Full kitchens and a hot tub for longer family stays
Lubbock, Lubbock
About this stay
Every room here includes a genuinely equipped kitchen, microwave, stovetop and dishwasher, plus a separate living area, a combination built for families stretching a Texas Tech weekend into several nights. South Plains Mall sits about a mile away and the Science Spectrum Museum roughly three miles, both easy stops between hotel and campus. A hot tub pairs with the outdoor pool, and barbeque facilities on site mean dinner does not always have to come from the kitchen or a restaurant. Grocery shopping service can be arranged through the front desk, cutting down on errands during a longer stay. The 24-hour fitness centre rounds out the property, useful for a parent squeezing in a workout between kitchen duty and campus visits during a longer stay.
- Full kitchen
- Hot tub
- Outdoor pool
- 24-hour fitness centre
Our take
This suits families on a multi-night Texas Tech visit who want to cook most meals rather than eat out constantly, with the hot tub and barbecue area as genuine bonuses. The separate living area gives parents a bit of space once kids are down for the night. Travelers on a single-night stopover may find the full-kitchen setup more than they need.
- Arrange the grocery shopping service on arrival if staying more than three nights, it saves real time.
- Use the barbeque facilities at least once, they are an underused perk at this property.
- Visit the Science Spectrum Museum on a hot afternoon, it is a short drive from the hotel.
Why we love it

- Barbeque facilities on site
- Grocery shopping service through the front desk
Why guests love itTownePlace Suites Lubbock gives a family a well-equipped kitchen and a separate living area in each room, useful for a longer stay. A hot breakfast is served each morning, the outdoor pool and hot tub fill the evenings, and free coffee waits in the lobby. The fitness centre is open around the clock. The 8.0 score comes from only 37 reviews, so I see it as promising but still little tested.
