Our take
My take: The Godfrey works best for travelers who want a stylish, well-run Detroit base without leaving the building for every meal. The restaurant, bar and fitness room cover the evenings, the pet policy is a real advantage, and the spa and wellness facilities add some calm after a full day. If you care about trying many local restaurants, you will still head out, but this is a comfortable place to return to.
- Take advantage of the spa and wellness facilities for a relaxing experience during your stay.
- Explore the surrounding area for a wider selection of dining options beyond the hotel's restaurant.
- If you're traveling with a pet, confirm the specific pet policies and any associated fees beforehand.
